And that’s the way it is: Legendary Newsman Walter Cronkite is “gravely ill”

TV broadcasting icon Walter Cronkite, 92, is reported to be “gravely ill” but no other information about his condition is available at this time.

There is a very interesting biography of Cronkite at the Museum of Broadcast Communications which states that “…his name has become virtually synonymous with the position of news anchor worldwide-Swedish anchors are known as Kronkiters, but in Holland they are Cronkiters.”
