UPDATE: Simon Monjack’s Autopsy Results

Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction. It was surprising when Simon Monjack, age 39, husband of Brittany Murphy, suddenly died- only 5 months after the tragic death of his wife. Her autopsy results determined that she died of accidentally from pneumonia complicated by iron-deficiency anemia and “multiple drug intoxication.” Now Simon Monjack’s autopsy results have been reported by LA coroner as “acute pneumonia and severe anemia.” Also, like Brittany, Monjack had several medications in his toxicology screen, but none at toxic or lethal levels. Coroner Assistant Chief Ed Winter told CNN that one more test will be performed at the request of Monjack’s family. Those results will be available in two weeks, when a final report will be released.
